Graphic Information Technology (GIT)
Graphic Information Technology (GIT) integrates diverse applications of digital imagery and information as used in industry, commerce, education, and the government. The emphasis is on graphic information and how it is planned, executed, reproduced, evaluated, disseminated, and the technologies necessary for successful implementation. Students develop a creative, technological, and managerial understanding of this important communication medium.
GIT offers a Bachelor of Science degree and Bachelor of Applied Science degree, as well as a Master of Science degree. To appeal to working graphics professionals, the Master of Science degree also is offered in an award-winning online cohort program.
Graduates of Graphic Information Technology degree programs are leaders in major domestic and international companies dealing in graphic information; they become technology integrators for state and federal institutions and agencies; and, they become entrepreneurs, launching and running their own graphic technology companies.
This flexible area within Technology Management is accredited by the National Association of Industrial Technology.
